That doesn't surprise me, even rotties I've seen. Not many, but there are some. Most of the negative myths surrounding pits and such are because of the dogs that were abused, neglected, or used in dog fights. Gives the entire breed a bad rep

Almost any dog can do a job if it's trained right. Labs, goldens, german shepards, even Pitties and malinois, I've personally met a Doberman Pincher who was a cardiac alert dog. Many breeds have been trained for those jobs but some of them just arent in the media

pitties where never used as nanny dogs, thats a common myth lol

It really is sad. I work in a vet hospital and I've had more huskies, Dalmatians, and chihuahuas try and take my face off than anything else, but I've never seen any legislation about them.

banning dogs is the dumbest thing

i thought service dogs had to be generally working breeds? like poodles, labs etc or maybe the criteria for blind dogs are much different?

Same, it's so unbelievably unfair and cruel. Like, it's hard for me to even fathom how someone could do that. Pitties used to be the "All American Dog" and were even used as nannys.

That's adorable! In highschool I actually did a series of speeches about Breed Specific Legislation and how unfair/cruel it was

Doing some early research for next year's Gift Exchange.
Could y'all give some examples of wolves you'd find within the following mushroom ranges?

1: 100 - 500 mush
2: 500 - 1000 mush
3: 1000+ mush

I'd like some examples of wolves with:
- talents only
- rarity only
- Talents and Rarity only
- boosts only
- defects only
- weight only
- traits (howl/wrestle/obedience) only
- all of the above combined in any manner

Age is extremely important. A 2 year old and a 17 year old with the same stats aren't really comparable.

I'm not good at pricing; but I'll try. Using stats from my sales report and the trading post:

Starters: worth at least 150 mush. I sold a heavyweight 5yr old hero female for 240 mush, heavyweight male for 200.

55 talents G2 young heavyweight female, AJ pup. She was sold for 350, 500, and 700 mush. The lowest of those prices is really cheap (which is why I bought her), she's probably worth at least 500, although 700 is high for me personally.

Meanwhile, an equally talented male is worth less, although this one's G3 and not heavyweight. He wouldn't sell for 360 mush, so I guess he's gotta be worth less than that.

41 rarity all common female. Worth depends on age. Most >40 rarity females I can find in trading post are > 10 years old, but they're still being sold for 500-1000 mush.

Hero wrestler female with legendary coat, high CP and astounding BE. Thought she was going to die anytime soon but she still easily sold for 500 mush.

This guy is horrible, except for his CP. A fully maxed < 5 year old wolf is worth 800 mush to me. But again, I couldn't find comparable wolves in trading post.

I got this DH for 500 mush when he was 7? and he already had his battle, agility, and resolve maxed. Actually I think that was a pretty good deal; there weren't any comparable prices. Any young DH is probably worth at least 400 mush, regardless of other stats. Worth goes higher if they're female, trained, heavyweight, hero, etc. Sometimes they're worth multiple apples. I'm sure you could find crazy high bids in forum auctions.

Very excellent howler. She doesn't have a numeric rating but she's guaranteed to win 500 mush from FMC howling, good chance of winning an apple. She has to be worth 1000+ mush.

100-500 mushrooms: More so for males
I say more so for males because females with any defects, high rarity, high talents, etc. sell for greater value. Probably has to do with keeping the offspring in your den after breeding.
- I am typically capable of selling pup pelt-altering defects (aside from Vitiligo) for 200-275 if they are inbred. CL, short-lined males I am still only able to sell them for 500 at most. Rarity range is typically 0-30R.
- With AJ producing for years, I've only been able to sell males with 40-50+T for 100-400 with rarities around the 20-30R range. Really depends on how attractive the markings are on the wolf. That's the selling point there.
- Males with 40+R are usually selling around 100-300 mushrooms. Depends on their appearance though - unattractive ones are usually a bugger to sell. These are more often than not short-lined, CL pups as well.

500-1000 - More so for females
The ones that are quite notably worth more tend to be females.
- CL, young, pelt-altering defects. I notice that aside from Vitiligo, Ery wolves sell for less than Leuc, Mela and Albinos but could still push 500 mushrooms if you advertise.
- Attractive 30+R-40R. I've seen some 30R wolves pull in 500 mushrooms before. Usually the buyer uses them as roleplay wolves. A solid 40R, even if it is an ugly duckling, will still pull in at least 500. Add in clean lines, short lines and a pretty markings, 1000 is certainly achievable.

1000+
- B e a u t i f u l 40+ females.
- G2-G3 female pelt-changing defects with 30+R.
- Potentially a low-gen., CL demanded boost (Divine Health / Surpassing Valor) with 30+R.
