Echo/F/Lead Dog 2/Mentions: Musher
She heard the loud whistle so she began making her way back until she saw the sled. She made her way to the sled and sat waiting for the musher to attach the harness. It was now to wait for everyone else to join.

She closed her eyes, shoved down her anger and when she opened them. She appeared calm and ready to go.

Glacier/F/Team Mate 6/Mentions: Musher
She quickly ran over to her spot on the sled while feeling guilty for the trouble she gave the lead dogs. She couldn't wait to run again so she gave a happy bark to greet her musher while waiying for him to attach the harness to her collar.

Niko | F | Teammate | Metions: Dakota, Juno, Nosoi, Musher
-
Niko woke to the sound of the musher's whistle. They looked over at Dakota and Niko rested her head in Dakota's fluffy neck fur for a second before getting up. She slowly rose and stretched. She looked down at Dakota and smiled.
She looked back up as she heard Nosoi running back out of the woods. Niko wondered for a moment why he would be in the forest but shook off the thought. Then she noticed Juno drying off by the fire. She looked mostly dry bet still a little damp. She vaguely remembered hearing some howling and barking earlier but hadnt been awake enough to find out what it was but assumed it had something to do with Juno being wet and Nosoi running out of the forest.
She remembered that the musher had whistled which signaled for the dogs to all line up and gently nudged Dakota awake. Once she was sure dakota was awake, she headed to the sled following Nosoi and stood at her spot, waiting for the musher to attach her harness.

Maverick ~ M ~ Musher ~ Mentions: The team
Maverick smiled softly once the dogs got into their places, he walked over to each one and attatched their harness's to their collars and each other. Finally attatching Dante's and Nosoi's harness's to the sled, he hopped onto the sled.
He held on to the helm and called out,
"Line out!"
Then he called,
"Mush!"
The team broke into a quick run and had him laughing to himself as the breeze hit his face as he held on for dear life.

Keith ~ M ~ Delta Wolf ~ Mentions: The team >-> (talk about a bad dog)
He showed up to the camp just as everyone lined up and watched as Maverick attatch the Wheel Dogs' harness's to the sled. His tail swayed as he watched in the shadows before he watched the team run.
He waited, debating on following or staying out of trouble. He watched the team; now a good few miles away before quickly running after them. He stayed in the shadows but it was easy for the team and Maverick to see him due to being a black and white blur.

Thanatos | M | Beta Wolf | Mentions: Keith, Brakah, Team
-
Thanatos had been out all morning and he still had no prey. He growled in annoyance as he stalked through the trees. He kept hearing birds chirping and tought if only they came down to the ground he could catch them.
He kept thinking about the night before and how Keith could have been seriously injured or even killed had the dogs not let him go so graciously.
He also thought Brakah had been a little too harsh but Thanatos understood where he came from since he was the oldest. Thanatos shook out his fur and stopped thinking about this.
He continued walking through the forest until the ferns got denser and he couldnt see the dirt beneath his paws. He sniffed the air and many scents flooded his nose. He smelled squirrel nearby. He looked around at the nearby trees to see if the squirrel btu then he spotted it on the ground in the thick folliage.
His tail wagged once as he crouched down and inched forward silently. Once he was close enough he lunged and grabbed the squirrel, biting down hard, killing it. He trotted happily back to the cave where he deposited his catch at his spot and lie down. He was worried that Keith was missing from the cave because of yesterdays events but surely he had learned his lesson right?

Nosoi | M | Wheel Dog 1 | M: The Team, Musher (Ind.)
Nosoi was practically shaking in anticipation when he was waiting for a signal to go. Shifting his weight from one paw to the other, he watched and waited as the rest of the team was hooked up to the sled. Once they were all connected, he waited to be told to go. Not even a minute after the Musher had called for them to mush, they were off. The wind tore through his fur as he ran behind the team. His position had both advantages and disadvantages. For one, he didn't need to clear a path through the snow. He could follow in the tracks made by others. But he was in charge of helping the Musher turn the sled, which could be grueling in heavy snow. And he occasionally got snow kicked up into his face. But no matter. He was happy where he was. Nosoi snarled at the pair infront of him to go faster. He wanted to run, spend every scrap of energy he had. A subtle ache was creeping into his paws, a sign for him to slow down a bit. He ignored it and pressed on. The wind stung his nose, but panting would just lead to his lungs hurting and wasting his energy. So he ignored that, too.

Echo/F/Lead Dog 2/Mentions: Team, Musher (indirect)
The minute that they were off, Echo managed to relax as she felt her paws run. Running was one of the few things she enjoyed and she trusted the Alpha Dog to lead the team. The air blew her fur and yet it was thanks to her position that she could see any danger.

She felt free and it was almost like she was racing again but it wasn't so but Echo didn't mind because the freedom of the run is something that she couldn't really forget.

Rizou|male|Teammate #2|M: team (indirect)
Rizou felt himself falling into the same familiar routine as always as he was hooked onto the sled harness. He could already sense the pull of the fresh air as the team started running. He kept his eyes forward, taking the time to take in the land they were passing through. He enjoyed the rare calmness and momentary peace as the team continued their way.

Niko | F | Teammate | Mentions: Musher, Team, Dakota
-
As the musher came by Niko to hook her to the sled, she stood up straighter and held her head higher while wagging her tail and panting, excited to finally get to run again. When he called mush, She bolted along with every other dog.
She loved the way the wind beat against her face making the cold even colder. The wind felt amazing running through her fur. This is exactly what the team needs, a distraction from last nights events.
Her paws slammed into the snow and earth bringing an exciting jolt every time she touched the ground. As much as she loves the snow and sledding, she couldnt wait until she could get back to the fire and by Dakota's side at night

Juno | F | Teamate | M: Team,
Kiva (new character, will have her sheet out soon)
Juno strapped in next to Rizou, running as fast as she could possibly go, though still alert for any conflict or danger. She thought about Kiva, who had been left behind.
It made sense, Kiva was a newer dog, and she had recently been injured by a fox in the forest. The Musher probably just wanted what was best for the new dog. Juno kept running, her paws thumping the snowy ground with a steady pace. When Juno ran, every breath felt refreshing, every paw step felt free, the way the wind blew her fur felt amazing. The Team kept on running, running, running, running.

Leap | F | Lead Dog 1 | Mentions: Echo, Glacier, The Team. Keith, Maverick/Musher

Leap didn't expect Echo to return after she had split off to track the trail of pawprints. Not in such a manner. Not by dragging another dog in by the tail and running off with a rushed apology, leaving the white husky with her.

She gave Glacier a visual once-over, and when no wounds made themselves apparent to her eyes, she had given her a harder look. The other dog had gone farther than what was wise. She herself may have wandered from the campsite, but she had been careful to stay within view of the fire. She had not accompanied Echo on her hunt, but she wasn't blind. Those prints had gone far beyond that point, and the time it took Echo to return only lended evidence to that. She had been about to address the issue when the very distant sound of barking, and then howling, stopped her.

Ther was no hesitation this time. As soon as the frantic quality registered, she was bounding towards the clamor. Glacier could see the fire by now, and she could be trusted to make her way back herself or follow Leap's lead.

By the time she reached camp, the trouble was already over. Short-lived but intense. For Juno was drying herself by the fire, black fur thoroughly soaked by water. A brief investigation revealed pawprints leading into the forest and beyond, and there was only one way that her teammate could've gotten so wet. The other dog seemed fine despite what must have happened.

Heart still racing, she decided that there had been enough wandering from camp for now, and sat herself down to rest and to observe what she could see of the forest without venturing out. She didn't dare let herself be distracted, but she did reflect on the events of the night and early morning. The wolf was troubling, but it was already past and hopefully it had learned its lesson about investigating campfires. But that two members of the team had wandered off in a short period of time, far enough that they could've been seen by the others... a thought hissed of the wounds, even deaths, that could happen if there had been a wolf pack in the forest...

A lone dog couldn't stand against a wolf. Not a full grown-one, at least.

Before she could follow that thought further, the whistle of the musher cut through the cold air, and her mind pivoted to the work that was coming. She had been at her position within seconds, not the first but not the last one to the traces, eagerly waiting for the day's work to begin again. And once they all were properly off, her focus settled on the snow beneath her paws, the weight of the sled she helped to pull, and following her alpha's trail.

The wind held no strange scents that she could trace, only coldness and snow. But something felt off this time. It had not been that long since the team set off, and yet her normally absolute focus was wavering. She pulled her weight as usual, working hard as ever, but there was an unsettled feeling creeping in at the edges of her sense. Through the corners of her eyes, she took measure of the land to either side of her without moving her head. Seeing nothing apparent, she then lifted her head and swept as careful as glance as she dared to.

There. Her eyes caught on the shape of a running canine, large and thick-furred, white face and paws flashing boldly despite the shadows they stuck to. It was too far away to make out any other details. But she didn't need details to know that this canine was unfamiliar to her. Suspicion grew, and she tore her eyes off the shape and leveled her head again.

She didn't know if that was the wolf. Or any wolf. She had never seen one herself, but she had heard about them. And she was sure there had not been another team in the forest, no unattached dog wandering around.

So after a moment of considering, she raised her voice to the business-like tone she used when working. "We have a follower. Canine, white face and paws. Might be alone. Is that the wolf?"
