Venna stared at Ash in shock and fury, not moving. She ground her teeth so tightly her jaw ached. When Ash stepped towards her, the red she-wolf jerked away, her muzzle wrinkled in agitation.

"I don't need your pity. I'm no weakling." She spat. "I'm going to hunt. I need to kill something."

With that, she turned and stalked away into the woods, shoulders hunched and eyes of fire glaring, withering, into the darkness.

Ash drew back, and called out for Venna. But Venna was already gone, and Ash followed her. "Venna!" She sniffed the air, trailing behind Venna. Then she spotted the red pelt of Venna, "Come back to camp, please!"

"Why?" She didn't stop walking. "So people can think I'm crazy? So they can pity me? So they can yell at me?" She spat. "I'm not crazy, and neither was my father!" Venna snarled, whipping around and baring her teeth at Ash.

"Do you remember when he was chased, gutted and half dead, off our territory by the last alpha!? Do you remember when I was punished for what he said? Or did you look the other way and forget the way everyone else did?"
In all honesty, there was a very good chance that most wolves in the pack simply didn't remember because it had happened so long ago. Most of them had only been pups at the time, and after it had happened, no one mentioned it again. Venna couldn't truly blame them for not remembering. But, she remembered. Yes, she remembered.

"That's what happens when we listen to gluttonous, blood-thirsty, idiotic, lazy alphas and let their pups rule next. And no one seems to see it but me!" She stepped towards Ash, teeth bared and hackles raised. The forest sunlight glinted dangerously off her teeth. "Do you think I'm crazy, too? Do you think he was?"

Solar had heard this all and growled "venna i get it you hate this system I did to and still do but there is nothing we can do to stop it so don't go snapping at your pack mates who are trying to help" he said calmly he knew he had to be calm being agitated might just add more tension to this situation and that was not what was needed

Now, Venna did glare.

She wished she could wither Solar to the ground with her glare. Here he was, the alpha, the only alpha of the pack, holding all of the power over all of the pack, and he said there was 'nothing they could do'.

Venna took a deep breath. She knew she shouldn't snap back. She knew she shouldn't. It was dumb to speak back to an alpha. But, she was her father's daughter, after all.

"No, there's plenty you can do. Just nothing that you will do." She growled. "Because you hold all the power." She took a step towards Solar, sizing up to him. "And you like it that way. Power's a hard drug to give up. You want to keep it to yourself, whether you're the best leader for this pack or not. I've seen this all before." She bared her teeth, taking another step closer until they were nose to nose. Her voice dripped with venom.

"I've seen it in your/Volcan's father."

((Depending on whether Solar or Volcan was the one who inherited the position of alpha from their dad and mom))

Moonglight chased after Venna into the forest. What does she think she's doing? I swear, this pack is ripping itself apart. Suddenly, Moonglight felt full of anger like she never had before. Fine! Just fine! Venna can be like that! Moonlight skidded to a halt as she saw Venna looming over Solar. What the-? Without thinking, Moonlight snarled and charged into the scene. "Venna, what is wrong with you? Come back to your senses!" She barked aggressively. What am I doing? Someone's going to get hurt. Moonlight thought, so she lowered her raised hackles a bit. "Please. We can fight over this later. If we do so now, we'll rip this pack apart. It's not like I like this system either..." Moonlight looked down at her paws, remembering the reason why Venna was being like this, and backed away.

solar growled and viper whimpered he looked at his adopted daughter and nudged her before returning higlare to venna "your wrong venna...my dad was horribal to this pack and i wanted nothing more then to be better then him to make sure this pack was good and strong i hated the way the system worked and i still do venna...but how can we try to change it if we fight amongst eachother like this?" he ashed his voice laced with alot of emotions but the only one that was clear was truth and sadness it was true everything he said he wanted to change how the system worked he truly did for the pack and its future

Venna looked around slowly, her sides heaving. Everyone was here. Everyone was looking at her... Her head felt like it was swimming. Maybe she was crazy, after all.

She locked her eyes back on Solar. "Alright. So, you want to change. Then change. Change how it works. Swear right now that instead of choosing the next alpha from one of your pups, you won't choose any pup. Swear that you'll choose a grown wolf who is strong and smart and healthy and--and would make a good leader." She licked her maw, adrenaling making her feel shaky and light headed. "And I'm not--I'm not saying that it needs to be someone here, now. I'm not asking for that. You can choose later, maybe when some of the current pups have grown up and proven themselves worthy. But swear that you will choose the next alpha based on their skills and heart instead of whether or not they share your blood." She held his gaze firmly.

solar looked at venna his eyes soft "i swear venna on my sole i swear" he said

Ash was taken aback when Venna bared her teeth, "Yes...Yes, Venna, I do remember." She whispered, her head pointed towards the ground. Ash remembered it all so clearly, so vividly. It may have happened long ago, but Ash remembered.

"Volcano Pack lost apart of it that day," Ash turned to Venna, "Please come home. We need you."

(Man, I wish lesbian wolves were allowed in this RP) "You're not crazy. He wasn't crazy. I never agreed with the rules. I've always been a friend to you, why do you turn on me now?"
