Vera sighed with disappointment. Yet another failure to sell her baked products at the market. She still had three out of seven boxes left. Maybe she should consider moving markets - Again - Or even just give up on her dream. Prehap,s if she was lucky, some bakery would let her get a job? Vera was about to sit at the bus stop to wait for her bus, but then noticed that a lot of antromorphs where heading towards one house in particular. Prehaps there was a party or something happening? Vera glanced at the unsold treats, an idea forming in her head. If she couldn't sell them, why not give them away?

Vera reached the isolated house. An odd place for a party, she'd admit, but who was she to judge? The woman noticed a wolf anthro standing outside. "Hello." She greeted. "Is there a party on here? I have these left over and I wanted to give them away." She gestured to the boxes. "Are you awaiting the host?" There was chattering noises inside the house, presumably from the party's(?) guests. Vera hoped that she wasn't intruding all too much on these people. She'd leave right away if that was the case.

The roach chortles at Olive's comment. "Tell me about it, I can't believe we got such beginner positions despite having more experience than some of the people in that kitchen," Sasha huffs, still sour about being fired for such a disrespectful and pointless reason. What's wrong with a bug in the kitchen ? Sure, moths, bees, and ants are tolerated. They're deemed cute, or "good ones," or hard workers. But the minute a bug deemed unsanitary and a pest works there ? Everyone sounds the alarms. It's hurtful, to say the least.

Crossing their arms, and having the second set rest on her hips, Sasha scans the place. More people seemed to be showing up. Turning back to Olive, Sasha gives it a moment before replying. "I hope so too. Hopefully it's less judgmental, or at the very least more fair regarding employee experience levels. I'd hate a repeat." Sasha wasn't just upset for himself, but for Olive and many others who are likely exposed to this sort of prejudice. Sasha couldn't help but laugh at Olives next remark. "Oh I hope not, I don't think I can take another comment about contaminating the kitchen with my dirty grubby little bug hands," Sasha teases, uncrossing her hands to wiggle her fingers at Olive.

Someone caught Sasha's attention, just outside the open door. Was that a human ? Considering no other humans were in the vicinity formerly, Sasha assumed the place was maybe a sort of hangout or safe space of sorts for anthropomorphic creatures. It'd make sense, wouldn't it ? Seems not. "What's a human doing here ?" Sasha wonders aloud, once more crossing his arms. They don't have a very good track record with humans, all things considered.

Marmalade

Knox stayed on the couch as he watched the rest of the animals walk in. "Damn.. I didn't realize there would be so many.." He muttered, Knox wasn't a super social guy so having so many there was a bit overwhelming. He studied each of them, the cockroach was an interesting one. He hadn't ever seen one before, and he tried not to stare. His eyes flitted over to the fox that just came in. Knox had seen bears, wolves, and some other cats but never foxes. All these animals seemed really interesting. He got up from his spot on the couch, wandering into the kitchen for a snack. He saw the lion writing something down. "Hey.. what're you writing? If you wanna tell me.. if it's something secret don't worry about it." He opened the fridge, luckily finding rabbit soup. It wasn't what he would eat normally where he came from, but rabbit soup was close enough to hare so he ate it anyway. He took the pot out from the fridge, heating it up on the stove and pouring it into a bowl once it was ready. All while listening to what the lion had to say.

Sebastian snapped out of his own thoughts when he heard someone ask a question. Looking up, he saw the melanistic snow leopard walk to the kitchen to heat up some kind of soup. Inhaling the air, the scent registered... some kind of small animal, although the spices in it seem to hide the actual smell of the protein inside. Squirrel? Rabbit? ... Hmm

Sebastian doesn't stereotype, but in one of his college courses... he was taught to keep the species and their diet in mind.

Mai took a cautious step aside as the rush of anthro animals and humans filed into the house. As she waited for and opening, Mai briefly gazed at everyone passing her, making a mental list of notes on them. When there was a small gap in the line, she ducked inside, murmuring a small "Hello" to the wolf who had opened the door. Once inside, she assessed her surroundings, adding to the growing list of notes she kept. The house was much warmer then she had thought it would be. And it smelled good. Very, very good. Biting her tongue to keep her from licking her lips, she followed the scent into the kitchen. There she found a snow leopard. A black one. Cautiously stepping up behind him, but keeping her distance, she asked: "Are you cooking something? Because it smells good."
