Marx Sylv | he/him | Chimanticore shifter |Dorm 3 | M: Daniel | Marx tips his head, slight scowl on his lips. The creature in front of him was squinting. Hard. Was he blind or something? His own tail twitches, curling closer to his back. | Looking for answers from those weird guys? What the hell? Marx's wings flare slightly as the fox chews at his thumb and he forces them back down. | "You don't know what's happening? I saw you walk in forever ago, how do you not know what's happening?" He doesn't mean to snap, but it happens anyway. That was stupid. How did someone who had been awake the whole time not know what was happening? | Even people he knew that had glasses could see something without them. Enough to know something. | And the submissive act was grating on his nerves. | "Whatever. In case you're that stupid, you're at Inkspire. You know, school for magical and mystic creatures?" Marx crosses his arms and leans back slightly, eyes drifting to the men in black. "There's going to be a meeting in a few hours. Pretty sure everyone's supposed to be there." | He stops as if he has more to add to that thought, but he doesn't continue."

Daniel of the Iron Crown | He/him, pup/pupself, any/all | Elf-kitsune | Dorm: 3 | M: Marx Sylv Flinching away as the newcomer snaps at him, Daniel whines softly and wraps his arm defensively around himself, the other pressed against his chest as he laps up the drops of blood he'd drawn from his thumb. It's not his fault that he can't see, that he'd felt all dizzy and detached, that nobody cared enough to tell him what's happening. "I don't- I don't know," he mumbles, looking down and flicking his ears back. He doesn't have to explain himself. Even though there's nothing to explain. He scents the other creature's anger growing before he speaks again, bracing himself for vitriol. Even still, he growls at being called stupid, dropping his stance down just a touch, shifting into agressive rather than defensive. He's not stupid. Though he... doesn't actually know what Inkspire is. And he's certainly not going to ask. "Don't call me names," Daniel snaps right back, lip curled and hands dropping into fists at his side. Why did he even think there was a flicker of concern earlier? He's just imagining things, entertaining dangerous fantasies that are sure to get him hurt. "I don't care about any stupid meeting." He'd actually love to go to the meeting, if he can stay on the sidelines and far away from any sort of crowd. It might help him figure out what's going on. He does catch the fact that the newcomer was going to continue, just something about the cadence of his voice, but doesn't care enough to question him. Not at this point, not after being insulted.

Marx Sylv | he/him | Chimanticore shifter |Dorm 3 | M: Daniel | A growl rises in his throat and his wings flare before he forced himself to take a breath. He snorted and looked away. Don't start a fight. Not everything needs to be a fight. | The scent of blood stabbed at his brain, sharp and there. Just another item on the list of annoying things that've happened. | "Sure you don't." He could tell the fox cared, at least a little. "But it's not my place to say anything." | Marx's eyes drift to the black-clad men. Just the sight of them makes him feel the need for his barbed tail to be stabbed into something. His eyes return to the fox | "I can show you around. At least the places I know. If you want." He didn't lose his paper, he just... Misplaced it. And he just doesn't want to find his dorm right now. Definitely.

Croía Reilly| She/Her| Banshee| dorm 4 | M: River, Open ♡ ♡ “Hm, Alright.” Croía nods, ignoring their jab. She didn't take offense when people thought she was boring. Croía could be rather dull at times. ♡ She studies him one more time, putting aside her curiosity for now. Croía looksz about the hall at the dorm rooms. She brushes her hair over her shoulder to fill the awkward silence with movement. ♡ “Sorry to have bothered you.” Croía says before backing away. ♡ What an odd interaction, she thought, and far from comfortable. Croía makes her way down the flight of stairs quickly, fueled by embarrassment.

River Goldsmith | Hey/They | Vampire | Dorm 1 | M: Open River watched her run down the stairs, did he even get her name? He turned back around, what was he doing again? Oh yes finding his dorm, they wanted to get there first so that they could get first dibs on a bed. River continued down the corridor, glancing now and again at the paintings on the wall their eyes following him wherever he was, 'Creepy.' - Although the exterior of the school was relatively stone and had a more ancient look the inside was a lot more modern than he was expecting. Most of the modern things were quite small things like door handles and curtains although still having that old look, unnoticeable to someone how would you say "normal" or "I am not that observant you freak" things he often heard when he brought things up that he had remembered. - They came across an older person who was seemingly helping other students, he assumed they were a teacher of some kind or maybe just helpful. It was weak he thought helping people like that. He needed help finding his dorm although he would never admit it, it was a sign of weakness asking for help. He watched everyone shuffling about with their bags and heavy trunks hoping he got the right bit of where his dorm was. It was almost out of a book, most of the dorms in the towers but it was practical why have an oddly shaped classroom when you can have an oddly shaped dorm. It made him laugh although appearing as only a slight smirk, tugging at the corners of his mouth. There weren't really any indicators of which dorm was which or maybe there were he just zoned it out, they were dumping a lot of information on him. - River still had the folded up paper in his hand and gently slipped it into one of his pockets. It was true he had a fair few layers on which might seem unnecessary for some but he had his reasons. After taking a couple steps forwards he was surrounded by doors, after further inspection he noticed a small etching into one of the door frames and noticed all of them had it, they were numbers. 'Sneaky' Inconspicuous and neat 'very clever' he thought. They were a bit overwhelmed by all the doors and people and noise but he had hidden it for years he wasn't going to let himself become readable now. Sylvester Montgomery | He/Him | Avian | Dorm 1 | M: Fissure "Mean, huh? Why the hells that. Because of the unruly hair you've got going on here like some showboating peacock? Or because you talk so quietly i almost have to lay down to hear ya." Sylvester asked gruffly, but not without a hint of teasing seeping through the words he spoke. He crossed his arms across his chest once again, letting his back bend ever so slightly as he let his golden eyes meet Fissures in a steely gaze as he awaited their answer. He wasn't sure if perhaps it was being too rude, asking so directly about the guys past when it clearly didnt sound like a positive one. But if Fissure could dish back the banter Sylvester threw at him. Perhaps their company wouldn't be entirely awful. He didnt know why. But hearing that others had been mean to Fissure had Sylvester more intrigued than before. He had already been shocked when they mentioned they were a gryfn shifter, so by any outside perspectives or standards, you'd expect them to be strong or commanding with their very presence. But they didnt. They resembled more or less a tiny kitten with its tail ticked between its legs and its ears laid flat. 'The hell am I doing even hanging around for this. I didn't come here to socialize. They cost me my afternoon snack. And yet...' Sylvesters steely gaze only grew more intense as his attention shifted slightly past Fissure, to nothing in particular as if he was deep in thought. 'There's no way I'd be that stupid. They aren't him. But...' His thoughts trailed off once again as his breath hitched in his throat. '...They aren't him... But they remind me of him... The hair... The timidness... Even the story seems to hold the smallest hints of similarity...' Sylvester had to leave his... What would he even call him? His companion? The one annoying pain in the ass he ever put up with? His... friend??? No. He wouldn't go that far. But regardless. The slight feeling in his chest. The way his body tensed. It was the same protectiveness he'd always felt for that bugger back home. Vax Guyre//S/H//Dorm2//HalfElf//M:Ophelia Vax smiled, "Yeah, I have schizophrenia." She said to Ophelia. "Let's get going." Vax said, starting to walk, her large black boots hitting the ground. She grabbed her large bag from the floor and dusted off her short dress. Vax looked around at all the people around her, still processing being here, at Inkspire. She stopped, waiting for Ophelia.
Mara Goldfinn//S/H//Dorm 4// Vampire//M: N/A Mara awoke, still on the stairs, with a massive headache. She remembered basically nothing, except for that she had collapsed on the stairs. Mara rubbed her head with her palm and stood up. She walked the rest of the way up the stairs and took a deep breath before walking into the school. Mara stepped in the academy and looked around the large school. So many people She thought to herself, There might be even more. Mara looked at the paper in her hand. Dorm four. She started walking to where she thought the dorms would be. Mara stepped up the countless stairs. There it was, Dorm Four. She walked into the dorm, waiting for the headmaster to make a speech. Mara sat down on a bed, waiting for someone to come in.

Ophelia Nightingale Jones |Unknown |F |Shapeshifter |Dorm 2/M:Vax She easily caught up despite the crowd by turning into a hummingbird and zipping over their heads. "I'm sorry to hear that" she said as she shifted again gracfully leading Vax to the dorm rooms. When she saw dorm 2 uphead she pointed it out "it's just ahead" she said with a small smile. don't mess this up Ophelia she thought to herself don't you dare she let out a quiet sigh someone is willing to talk to you, don't screw it, don't scare her off Opehlia may not like large crowds or talking to people but she enjoyed company. She truly hoped Vax didn't find it weird back there when she suddeny been a hummingbird flying through the air and turning back into a human like it was nothing. I hope it didn't frighten her she thought. Her powers tended to be the biggest reason people would turn away from her. They found her strange and weird and some even jered she wasn't human. Some called her too powerful others called her dangerous when they found out what she could do. But what hurt worse than being caled a 'freak' more than being called 'monster'.The thing that hurt worse than the stares and pointing and whispers. Was when people turned away the moment cracks showed, the moment she was weak.

Fissure Zograd | They/them it/its | Gryfn Shifter | Dorm 2 | M: Sylvester | They reached up to their hair and ran a hand through it. It's not that bad, is it? they think with a small frown. They weren't that quiet either. They shake their head to knock away the thoughts, and they scratch their neck lightly. | "W-Well... It's actually because of... how I act, mostly. As a Gryfn, people expect me to be strong, dominant, all that stuff. But... I-I'm not. I'm just... Me." Fissure shifted slightly, tail tip twitching. "I bet you were expecting the same, after I told you..." | They drop their hand and grab the stick of their candy apple with both. "I-I'm sorry. You only asked why I was bullied, not for a whole life story." Crap. They were messing this up. Their first shot at making a new friend and they were already dumping too much. | What if he isn't one of the people you get used to after a while? What if he'll use their words against them later? | "I-I should look for my dorm. Don't want to not know where I'm sleeping on the first day, you know?" they say with a forced smile.

Sylvester Montgomery | He/Him | Avian | Dorm 1 | M: Fissure He hummed, almost thoughtfully. It made sense in a strange, twisted kind of way. Most would take Fissure's timid nature and see it as weakness; an excuse to lay it on heavy and thick without having to once think about the consequences. Those were the kinds of people that pissed Sylvester off. Sure. Survival of the fittest or whatever. But when you had strength, it should be used to protect and defend those who can't do it themselves. Not to push around simple nobody's who hadn't an ounce of self respect or pride. Then again. He'd never been one to jump to anyone's rescue. He would never go out of his way out of concern to stand up for strangers he didn't even know. He despised that about himself too. His Pa always went on about noble causes and acts of selflessness. Yet, even with those lessons being engraved into his skull from the moment he hatched till now, he just couldn't see it happening. "Yeah. Sure. I guess I understand it." He responded plainly as he let his teasing tone drop. Seems they might not be able to stand up to his level of banter afterall. "Still. Doesn't give them the right." He added on almost a little too quickly as flexed the wings on the side of his head a little before tucking them back in as he glanced off to the side. "Expectations shouldn't mean jack anyways. Not their damn life now, is it." Sylvester continued on. He was never really one to sugar coat things or to lay off. He said things as he saw them. And right now? It kind of irked him to be grouped under the same kind of people who would just... Assume things. Well. He HAD assumed. But he'd rather get caught seven feet under snow before admitting that in his own words. He let out a low sigh, almost a tired groan as he listened to Fissure's apology. This was all so unnecessary. He was just wasting time, entertaining this conversation. Yet the other alternative of trying to find his way around this place on his own with his usual broody antics didnt seem all that more appealing. "Dorms huh. I suppose it isn't a half bad idea to know where we'll be staying and who with. I just hope everyone else isn't so... infuriating or obnoxious." The very idea of having to share a space with anyone who was loud-mouthed, nosy or energetic made his feathers stick up. Oh how he dreaded the unknown.
