When duke heard Iris saying you re mine he completely lost it, he whispered in her ear "do you want to go in the parking lot" duke saod hoping she would ease off now

" What for?" Iris asked looking his way.. " cant we have fun here and just watch the movie? Please? " she lifted her head slightly " Duke...Im not exactly dating you. Im trying you out. Once we have been with each other for a few weeks, maybe, just maybe.. Ill trully be yours. "

" I aint taking no front answer" duke stood up grabbed iris's hand and walked to the car, he opened the door for her and he went in his car. He was so excited as he wasn't sure how Iris was about to take the news he was about to tell her.

Iris followed him and got into the car " Duke.. what in this planet is going on?" she asked putting her feet back on the dash. She always did, when she was nervous. " Duke.. please. talk to me. What the hell is going on?" She watched him go in. Her eyes never left his ill kiss him into ablivion if he tells me what I think he's gonna tell me. " Whatever it is, can we then go back to the movie?"

Duke turned looking at Iris, dont know how to start " As you noticed School isn't for me, I recieved a letter that the Army accepted me I have to leave to tomorrow " A tear fell from his eyes " I didn't know I was going to meet you, I felt tired fighting my dad all the time, So I decided to join the army, at least I will be doing something useful"

" You cant leave me here alone, Duke.. please.. Im begging you to not go," Iris said grabbing his hand and sweezed it. " I... I need you here...I'll never see you again.."

she then leaned in and kissed him, hoping to make him change his mind. I love you she thought

Duke grabbed Iris's face with both his hands gently," Iris you have a bright future ahead of you you re smart and beautiful I m sure you will find a boy good looking and smart, Listen I have to go home and prepare my clothes as tomorrow at 06 00AM I have to leave to for boot camp". Duke never felt this way as no one cared for him since his mom died.

" I already did. But he's leaving. " Iris said with tears looking at him " Promise me one thing... You wont stop texting or calling me. "

She then remembered something she brought with her. She reached in her pocket and put a gold ring on his finger " Dont forget about me,Duke" she kissed him one last time before opening the car door, closed it nd ran back to where the movie was being played.

Duke looked at the ring for 10 seconds, he started the car shifted in the gear and drove off home, He opened the door and went straight in his room and started preparing his clothes and slept. In the morning at 5:00AM before leaving for boot camp he left a note in the letterbox of Iris, which said "I love you and I m sure as hell that I m gonna miss you, but I can't keep texting and calling you, I need to focus on myself, I hope you understand.

Duke Looked one last time at Iris's House and left

Iris never got out of bed that morning. She was too sick and too hurt to even want to move. I ruiend my love life now. I should have told him I loved him. she thought as she put her head in her pillow and stayed in bed for another hour.

When she did finally wake up, she had to get ready for her last day of school before the hollidays.

SHe say a note in her mail box and read it, tears in her eyes. " I trully will miss you, Duke." she set the note on her dashboared and drove to school. She would have to talk to Dukes friend to see if the party was still gonna happen. She hoped for the worse though.

She finally reached the school parking lot and parked in her usual spot before walking to her locker. Tears in her eyes. What if I started dating that friend of Dukes.. would Duke be ok with that? she thought when she saw him coming towards her.

They were together for three months and had a thing going, but Iris didnt know that her first boyfriend was coming back.
