Duke got up and went to hug Iris from behind " you know happy you made me " and he kissed on her cheek. Duke went in bathroom took a shower and washed his teeth. He put some clothes on and went downstrairs to make breakfast for him, Iris and her mom. As he started to make breakfast Iri's mother went in the kitchen and duke smiled at her "Good Morning, Mom"

Iris's Mom was now like Duke s mom

" Morning Duke. Why in such a bright mood this morning?" She asked " And where's my daughter? You didnt lock her in the closet did you?" she teased " Im just joking. " she ruffled his hair before going into her office to get some work done.

Em took longer to get down the stairs " babe? Whats for.. breakfast?" she finally came down the stairs and sat on the living room sofa, the only thing she could sit on that was comfortable at this point in her pregnancy. " While you're at it, can you get me some lemon and honey tea?"

" I m making eggs and bacon with toast, yeah sure I ll bring you some tea " he made the tea and next to Iris "babe we need to talk after this semester you can't continue school you have to take care of the baby, I have the allowance of the army every month use it for the baby "

" I know... but then after.. I wanna go back. I need to get to college. That was my whole plan. But.. it will have to wait." Iris said with a sigh " Promise me one thing though, Duke." she looked right at him before saying " Please dont leave me. I need you to help me in this. If Justin did this.. he would have left me as a single mother."

She then looked away at the thought of it. " Please dont leave me"

Duke stood up furious "Who said that I was going to leave you, and second don't ever name mention that name again. Justin is dead for the both of us" Duke left his tea on the table slammed the door and went outside to smoke a cigarette. As he was alone he was thinking he was thinking "Why has she got to name Justin" as he continued smoking his cigarette

Iris just sat there, dumb founded. " Babe.. I-" but he was already outside. She winced as she heard the door slam. Shit! First fight and Im regreting having even mentioned Justin. But its true. He would have left me any ways. I know Justin. she sighed and finished her tea before walking to the door, opened it, and sat beside him " D-Duke.. look, I'm sorry. I should have kept my mouth shut. It was a mistake. Forgive me." she looked at him with worry " Im really sorry."

Duke looked at Iris "you know I can't stay mad at you babe, I love you " now get ready so we can go to school. Duke stood up grabbed his backpack and iris's as well and went to put them in the car. He waited for Iris so he could open the car door for her and help her to get in the car

Iris took short breaths as they drove to the school. She knew people would ask questions, but she didnt care. " Im suprised my mother wasnt mad about the baby thing, Duke. In fact, im shocked"

They finally parked and Iris slowly got out of the car. She held Duke's hand in hers in case someone or a group came and asked questions. She could feel the stares of everyone as they walked to their first period.

They walked in for first period and both of them sat down for class, but Duke remembered he had football practice that Morning. he turned to Iris "Babe I gotta go for football practice , we have to select the newbies today" he turned facing the teacher "Sir I have to go to Football practice " as he stood up and went to the football field getting ready

well damn it.. Iris thought.. now have to deal with Justin alone. But thats ok. He cant hurt me.

She didnt have cheerleading now that she was 3 months pregnant, so Bree took her place.

Byt he time lunch came, all she could think about was Justin, Duke, and the baby.

How will I tell Justin this she thought as she saw Duke coming her way. She smirked and made a spot for him " hi there hotstuff" she kissed him.
