In the early morning, the forest was full of dense heavy fog. The animals who lived here remained quiet as the aftermath begins from the events that previous evening. No one saw it coming, they didn’t even know what it was that attacked them. Forest animals of all kinds ripped from their families, their homes, and even their own bodies.

Keylo, walked silently and slowly searching for any survivors. She knew that many of the local packs here were destroyed so there was no reason to fear entering enemy territories anymore. They needed each other, any past feuds meant nothing now that they all have a common enemy. She passed by a small den that was occupied by a well-known fox family, the entrance was destroyed. She could still smell the odd suffocating scent from the weapon the new creatures used to consume the forest. Keylo snorted to remove the scent from her nose as she moved on from the fox den, hoping that maybe others from her pack survived. She kept all her senses on alert, waiting for signs of life or the new enemies that invaded.

As the sun began to rise further in the sky, its warm light began to expose all the damage. She whimpered seeing her home like this, but she quickly went silent when hearing rustling the bushes ahead of her. Her fur stood on her back, muscle tensed as she waited to see what would emerge.

"Huh?" Shadow says. * gasp!* another survivor! She thought. wait. Could be the enemy. She means no harm so..... Let's be kind and see how that turns out. Then she said, "Hi. I-I'm Shadow. Who're you?" Looking at her, she knew that she was very sad and worried.

Keylo smile and nodded in respect, she let out a soft breathe relieved that the survivor is of sound mind. Hi, I'm Keylo. Have you lost your pack too? It seemed silly to ask such a question after everything that happened, but she did hope the not everyone had completely lost their families too.

Astral was passed out in a bush near a fallen tree. He was starting to come too after he'd passed out from the chaos that had ensued the night before. He looked around but al he could see was fog and hear the silence around him. Astral's parents had hid him here and told him that they would return, which was far from the truth.

"I'm pretty sure." Shadow replied , "Who could've done this?" She came closer, and noticed the cuts on her face. "I can help you with those cuts. May I?" Then said gathered some things around to start working. Finally! Wait. Why hello! Then she gently grabbed the unconscious pup and brought him over to Keylo.

Astral felt someone picking him up as he started to wake up a bit, He opened his eyes a little more. Thinking it was his mother but as he picked up the scent of the one carrying him, he realized it wasn't his mother. Astral whimpered, he was scared and as he became more aware his head started to hurt.

"Hey, hey... its ok..." she said, "We're not going to hurt you." Then, after she finnished with Keylo's cuts, went over to the pup t osee if he was hurt, and seeing one on his head, got to work. i hope he didnt loose too much blood....

Astral stayed still as he was still scared, he looked between the two wolves. It took him a few moments to gain the courage to say something. "W-who....ar-re you..?" Astral asked as the wolf tended to him, his voice was a little shakey.
