As she licked, she felt something hard. She pulled it out with her teeth gently, and dropped it in the nest. "Juniper, you had a flower in your fur. A marigold. Where did that come from?" She poked it with a paw, eyes shining with curiosity.

Juniper laughed aqukwardly at Skylark's exclamation, feeling a sense of warmth at her friend's playful gesture. She leaned into Skylark's grooming, appreciating the comfort and camaraderie it offered.

As Skylark mentioned the flower she found in Juniper's fur, Juniper's cheeks flushed slightly. "Oh, that's... uh, just a random flower I must have picked up," she replied, attempting to play it off casually.

After a while, Juniper decided to tell them where it came from.

"She gave it to me as a gift," Juniper explained her voice barely a whisper as she felt a gentle flutter of nerves. "I put it behind my ear because its my favorite flower" She reached out to nudge the flower with her paw, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.

"I suppose it's a reminder of her," Juniper added, her gaze flickering between Skylark and Misty. She hoped her friends wouldn't press her further about the flower's origins.

Skylark fiddled with the white-blue cornflower in her own ear as Juniper talked, wondering if it was the same. "If you don't mind me asking, a reminder of who?" She bit her lip, hoping she hadn't offended Juniper. She thought about Ull, and knew that she wouldn't have shared the flower's origins with anyone.

"It was Ember, wasn't it. You've got a crush!" Misty exclamed louder than she intended. She started putting the puzzle pieces together in her head.

Juniper's heart skipped a beat as Skylark mentioned the marigold, her fur flushing with a mix of embarrassment and nervousness. She glanced at the flower in Skylark's paw, recognizing it immediately as the one Ember had given her.

"Oh, that's... uh," Juniper stammered, her voice faltering slightly as she struggled to find the right words. She shifted uncomfortably, feeling a surge of vulnerability. "It's from a friend."

She hesitated, feeling a pang of guilt for not being entirely forthcoming. But she wasn't ready to reveal the marigold's true significance just yet.

"She... um, she gave it to me," Juniper explained, her gaze flickering between Skylark and Misty. "Through a loner who passed by our territory. It was... unexpected."

Juniper hoped her friends wouldn't judge her for the unexpected gift from the fox. She bit her lip, anxiously awaiting their response.

Her ears perked as she heard Misty's exclamation, and she whipped her head around to stare wide-eyed at Juniper. "You have a crush?! On Ember?!" She leaped up, play bowing with excited interest. "Wow!"

Juniper's cheeks flushed crimson at Misty's exclamation, her heart racing with a mix of embarrassment and anxiety. She opened her mouth to deny it, but the words caught in her throat as she realized the truth.

"N-NO" Juniper stuttered, her voice betraying her as she struggled to compose herself. She avoided making eye contact, her paws fidgeting nervously.

"I mean, Ember is just... she's kind, and helpful, and..." Juniper trailed off, her thoughts jumbling as she struggled to articulate her feelings. She glanced at the marigold in Skylark's paw, feeling a rush of warmth at the memory of Ember's gesture.

Clearing her throat, Juniper attempted to regain her composure. "She's just a friend," she insisted, though her tone lacked conviction. Deep down, she knew there was something more to her feelings for Ember, but she wasn't quite ready to admit it aloud.

"Well, what about you Skylark! Don't act like you don't have a flower in your fur!" Her voice waversJuniper tried to get the attention off her.

She lay back down quickly, pressing herself against Juniper to help her calm down. "It's okay! Ember is kinda cool, and if you like her that's fine!" She licked Juniper soothingly, trying to warn Misty not to bother her right then. Then, she jumped as Juniper pointed out her own flower. "It's nothing!" She squeaked, immediately scrambling to put a paw over it.

Misty went over to Juniper. "Hey, calm down. we don't care who you like. It's up to you." Misty nudged her to sit back down. "Jeez, I guess I'm the only one without a crush." Misty wasn't quite ready to tell them about Jabez.

Juniper/F/storm Healer/M: Misty and Skylark

Juniper now a bundle of nerves and spiked fur, sort of hyperventilates.

"But she is Rose colony and Im in storm it's against the rules.. Right?"
