Kylie smirked " I mean theres more blood where it came from " she said leaning in again. " Just stop me if I get too far" She didnt even care that his fangs were piercing her a little bit. She just wanted him to relax and get used to her blood so he wouldnt attach her the next time she bled. " And stop blaming yourself."

Further into the woods, a mass of deep obsidian-colored scales shifted, glinting with subtle, iridescent colors in the morning sun as the creature they belonged to began to wake up. Golden, slit-pupiled eyes shifted, scanning the surrounding trees intently. The huge snake raised her head from the ground as the sun's warmth drove away the sleepy chill of the previous night, steadily becoming more awake and alert. The huge snake didn't often bother with hiding, as her sheer size was usually enough to frighten trespassers away. Humans liked to call her a dragon, and many attempts had been made to slay her dead with swords and weapons. But all had been for naught. And the bones of the trespassers decorated the cave she called home.

The basilisk's forked tongue flickered briefly out of her mouth,
tasting the air, and she caught the distinct coppery scent of blood. One she often associated with vampire wolves. Her expression darkened. What a lovely start to the morning. She uncurled her long body from her relaxed position in the sun and started towards the source of the smell, interested to see exactly what was happening so close to her territory. Wolves were of no concern to her, and vampire wolve who shied away from the sun itself were even less intimidating. But if there was a pack straying too far from their own land, she was keen to find out why.

Kylie was able to sense somethig was wrong when she stepped away from Matthew " You stay here.. Ill be right back.."

she kissed his cheek before shifting into her horse form and walked out of the cave, smelling around for intruders. " I can sense you, whoever you are. Dont think you can pass by me"

Calla had slithered into one of the huge, ancient trees, her expression shifting into a bemused, reptilian smirk at the horse's boldness. Human and animal mixed in her senses as her tongue flicked out subconsciously again, the creature must be a shifter of some sort. "I have no need to hide from you, shifter." She said, her voice low and soft but authoritative in tone. And indeed, like many dragons who were of similar size to a basilisk, she considered horse and cows a fine meal. Why should she shy away?

The scent of vampire lingered on the horse, and she noticed a bite on its foreleg. Her gaze sharpened and she slid to the ground carefully, moving lightly. She moved closer, the grand hood at her neck flaring a bit as she raised her head up, examining the horse, momentarily distracted by the odd sight. "One of the shifters. You're awfully far from your herd, little creature." Most of the horse shifters that Calla knew of stayed in the fields and out of the forest, though this was only a general pattern.

shade awoke in her human form and ran to kylie knowing something was wrong and she scented snake

Kylie saw Shade "Ill be fine, Shade. But you might wanna be on my back"

Her tail flicked but she nodded and got on kylie still sniffing the air and glancing around

Calla snickered a little bit, looking down at the human who had hopped onto the horse's back. Another shifter, the neutral smell of cat mixed with human and horse. What a strange pair, and so bold. As if they would actually be able to fight her off if she decided she wanted the horse for a meal. "Aww, how touching." She said with an amused, condescending tone. "If I wanted to harm you, silly creature, I would have done so already." Her eyes glinted subtly yellow, a shift one could have mistaken for the reflection of the sun.

The remaining length of her long tail slid silently to the ground from the tree, landing with a heavy but soft thump. "But you are not alone." She said, edging closer to the cave. The scent of copper was stronger the closer she got, and she noticed a bitemark on the horse's leg. Had she allowed the vampire to feed from her? A look of disgust crossed her face.

" You dont understand. He was wanting to get used to my blood." Kylie said " Do not hurt him. Im begging you. If you do, you have no idea what I can do to you. Now if you excuse me."

She reared up and headed back to the cave and back to Matthew, Shade on her back . She orderd Shade to hop off so she could shift back into human form.

When she did she walked to Matthew and hugged him " its alright, Matthew." she said looking at him " im here."
