You tread through the tall grass, leisurely exploring the uncharted land just beyond your territory. The trees here are few and far between, providing little shade and cover, however the sparse meadow seems to house many rabbits and boar making it a prime hunting spot... You shake your head at the thought, continuing on your journey.
The tall grass eventually thins and shrinks, giving way to a large clearing where the strong scent of puppies fills your nose. You keep your eyes open as you venture forward, however by the time you notice the beige wolf lounging beneath a shady outcrop of land, you've already made eye contact.
They stare back at you, their lips peeling back to reveal two rows of sharp canines as a litter of puppies quickly vanish into the tall grass. Having nothing to gain from the battle you begin backing away slowly, keeping your eyes deadset on the lone mother.
You're just about to apologize for disturbing her when a low rumbling growl catches your attention. Whipping around, you are soon greeted by the sight of a much larger group of wolves advancing, hackles raised.
You quickly realize the fatal mistake you made, but before they can chase you off, a sharp bark stops them dead in their tracks. "Hello stranger." A rather large looking wolf approaches you, her silver pelt a stark contrast to the surrounding grass. "Lost your way?" She hums, her soft voice catching you off guard.
"Well, feel free to look around."
