You are walking through the forest when you stumble upon a male wolf. The wolf introduces himself as Stalker.

The wolf looked old and was dark gray with a silver muzzle. The wolf’s body was lean and strong, his mussels thick and firm. The wolf’s voice is calm yet stern. His jaws and claws looked like they could break a bone in half with ease.

"Follow me..." He barked. After a while he stops, then looks at you turning his head "You really did follow..." then he shakes his head and yips at you. "Welcome to my old pack, it is nice of you to join us." He said with pride in his voice. Then he moves aside a bush to show you a pack of wolves. Most of them are fully grown, but everyone is sharing tongues happily.

Stalker leaps up on a boulder at the entrance of the pack's home, then nods to the Alpha. "That is the leader of this pack now, for I have been seen as weak by my pack mates..." You hear him murmur to himself in a low growl, “Even though I am stronger than them all…”

Just then a she-wolf appears from a bush and licks Stalker's muzzle affectingly then looks at you and barks in a raspy voice. "Hello there, I am Taffy, the past she alpha of this pack. This is my mate Stalker. We are the founders of this sorry pack..." The two wolves look at each other then Taffy looks back at you and says, "We hope you will be a good ally of this pack."

The she-wolf looked old as well and was black with an orange belly with a scar going down her flank. Her muzzle glittering with her few gray furs. Despite her old looks, like Stalker, her body looked lean with mussels and she looked light on her feet. Her jaws were powerful, and she looked like she could kill a moose all on her own.

Then Stalker looks at you and speaks, "You better not betray us like the Calico Cavern’s did!" He growled, teeth gleaming.

Taffy touches his shoulder with her tail, and looks at him. "Oh calm down you old meerkat! They're not from that pack of butt-sniffers…” Then she looks back at you and says, “Please pay no mind to him. He is all bark no bite." She said with a smile. "We hope you feel welcome here, and please don’t betray us." She said softly as she walked off. Stalker looks at his mate and trots after her, following close behind.

You watch the wolves walk together, then you look at the pack’s den and see how small and pathetic it is and you wonder why they are here and trying so hard to be happy. Then you notice that this pack is full of scarred wolves, and are pretty jumpy, they are a pack of loners that banded together to stay safe. It is quite sad when you think about it. The wolves look weak and frail, they seem to have been kicked from their old pack due to the fact that they were weak or runts.
