| Exactly what Snake said. Tons of private scholarships! Some of the ones I was eligible for Being a woman, being raised by a single mom, deceased parent, being a first generation student, being a woman applying to STEM. My sibling was able to apply for being born in an Appalachian county. |

| there are certain scholarships for lgbtq+, people of color, women, certain religious groups, even for states or countries/regions. i think it mostly depends on where the money is coming from and who that specific group wants it to go to I think I saw a few single mom scholarships as well |
