| Spidel Half pads with shims then will be your friend. Sounds like you do English as well, correct? Does her owner not have a saddle just for her? |

| Nev Ugh I knoww :( I'm a broke high school student so can't afford to buy one fitted right to her My coach has a nice one with cushy panelling that Skye (horse) seems to like, but it could still be pinching somewhere. Coach has checked the fit but I don't know much about her saddle fitting credentials lol |

| Spinel So older... I'd definitely talk to your vet. How long has she been doing it? If it's a new behavior I'd have my vet out as soon as possible. Talk to your vet about maybe treating her for ulcers, or getting her poll adjusted (my gelding gets cranky when his is out of alignment). Teeth for sure should be checked yearly at that age. |

| Yeah KS can range in severity. Most horses that are bucking now probably gave small indicators that were overlooked at first. Your vet can x-ray and check. It's super common in TBs and a lot of times can be worked with. I also always suggest having an independent saddle fitter out. Getting a proper fitting saddle for my boy made a night and day difference! |

| Nev I think she's around 17-18. Appendix, but she's built like a tank in the front. She had ulcers in the summer so we put her on ulcerguard and it definitely helped, she's a little girthy still so that could be it, but I doubt it. |

| acorn not here it was so hot this summer i think it went up to almost/over 100 degrees, and we're working during peak heat a pack of 10 lessons is about $500, and i make $12 an hour so i get anywhere between $100 to $300 taken off that cost per 10 lessons |

| Spinel I know of several horses that have had KS with no indication or being cold-backed. How old and what breed is she? My gelding gets bunched up and stiff in the winter due to ulcers, he never tosses his head, and never has. I work with someone whose horse tossed his head quite a bit and they came to find out he had a cracked tooth that was infected. |

| Lunar Oh I didn't think of that! Teeth could be an issue. She takes the bit easily, so I'm not quite sure. I've been trying different saddles on her, she's defo better in some, but we haven't quite found anything that clicks yet, if that's the issue. |
