The Shadow Lurkers hunt mostly at night. They stick to the shadows as much as possible and find solace in the darkness. They are mostly quiet and reserved, finding it better to listen rather than talk and give too much away. Lurking quietly in the shadows, the wolves of this pack seem to be almost a myth.

The Shadow Lurkers was founded by seven wolves: Hawk, Eagle, Owl, Cardinal, Raven, Pheasant, and Blue Jay. These wolves were each guided by a different bird. As it was so long ago, their names were forgotten and they are now known only by the bird that guided them.

The members of The Shadow Lurkers remember their founders and keep their memory alive by wearing the feathers of the guide birds. When a pup becomes old enough to hunt, the alphas decide which bird best fits the pup's personality. The pup then wears the feathers of whichever bird the alphas have decided. This is The Shadow Lurkers way of remembering their founders, and taking pride in themselves as well as their pack.
