| Poe when my partner and his mom got our pup(he preexists me lol) they had no experience with GSDs but experience with huskies, given their experience isn't the typical husky experience. Every husky they had was a rehoming case, already past the puppy phase, and fully trained. When they adopted Sif, they were told his was a husky mix(they thought like, a mix of husky like dogs) but weren't aware he was a GSD until the paperwork. They were completely unprepared. He has high anxiety, and is both reactive and destructive. We've done our best to train him and care for him on our own, but we have acknowledged he needs outside help via a trainer. His lessons start september and I'm hoping for the best. I'm a cat person by nature with no experience with dogs so being his primary caretaker has been a lot. |
