And the incapability about shutting up about things I'm interested in. |

I definitely van't control my face. Do they do the one thing where they close one eye and move their lip the one way. I do that. I think its just the mannerisms. |

Jun I've heard people relate it to "gaydar" as well, but I think the autism one might have more basis in facial features while gaydar focuses more on how someone dresses. Both deal with mannerisms, of course. |
SunGaze |
My friends don't think I have autism, they just think I have ADHD, even though I was diagnosed with both. My tics are also apparent and I've had people yell at me to shut up. |
BuggyOs |
Apo yeah, I usually have somewhat of an idea (I'm not diagnosed with anything but family is), but I can't say exactly what tips me off other than mannerisms. I don't know what facial features people are seeing other than what a old friend told me |

Apothecary- You typed what I struggled with. Exactly that, as someone with ADHD and autism. :,) |
Apothecary |
As an autistic person I can definitely tell when somebody has a touch of this tism or the adhd. |
BuggyOs |
Jun fun fact! some people claim that autistic people have certain facial features, particularly the mouth and eyes, that are signs of their neurodivergence. Whether this is true, I don't know |
SunGaze |
Do defects like extra toes, high metabolism, or other non-pelt defects do anything? |

How could she tell? It always stumps me whenever people say "you seem/talk/look/act autistic" |
SunGaze |
Yeah I mean at least she tipped ya. But still seems a bit weird-ish but maybe that's just me. |
Kháos |
Apothecary- See, with that context it sounds like a happy experience. Just "she said she could tell" without knowing that sounds like it's derogatory. I'm glad it was a happy experience. |
SunGaze |
I once heard my friend's mom pull my friend aside when I was younger (around 12 or something) and I overheard them say something about my ADHD and afterwards my friend treated me like a baby. |
Apothecary |
If she had said it in a derogatory way, I would've been mad. Her son has autism though, so she was just saying it because she knew the signs. Plus she tipped me $60 on $12 ticket so I definitely won't complain. |
