Echo Perhaps they knew I needed someone to stop my ever-constant desire to wander. I don't even have to have a specific nature, I just move and become incredibly confused when I realize I'm somewhere else.

-WP Click- I want to get her to DG before she turns 3. I do not think it's going to happen.

Not somebody knocking at the door while I’m bathing my child- I hate people lmao And I’m blasting music so people know someone’s home 😠go away

Petri Horses and animals in general can just sense things even if we don't.

Echo It's weird because the owner (a family friend) had been raising and breeding horses for years, but that one mare was just a jerk. When I meet new horses, what I usually do is just do work in the pasture/stall/whatever, or stand in the middle of a pasture like an idiot until a horse comes up and investigates.

Petri The owner probably couldn't read their horses body language, that's how most people get hurt on the ground. With horses, ignoring them and respecting their boundaries can help you bond sometimes.

There was this buckskin mare I worked with once, her owner said she was the meanest mare they owned at the time, but every time I was around her, she was gentle as could be. I mainly just ignored her until she was comfortable enough to nudge me for attention and let me ride her.

I haven't been kicked luckily but I have been stopped with, bucked, bronked, spooked etc.

I have never been more grateful for leather boots than when an 18-hand monster of a horse stepped on my foot while I was brushing him. Sweetheart with the best temperament I've ever seen on an OTTB, but damn was he heavy.

I've been kicked by exactly one horse: a particularly spicy baby AMH. He was so small it didn't even hurt lol

Echo Unrelated to trimming but related to horses: I once got kicked in the butt by a teasing pony. Not my proudest moment.

Brave It would be easier if she was bigger, she's a cockapoo so small enough to wriggle out off. Life lesson, the small ones are the ones you have to watch out for, humans, dogs especially horses lol.

Brave Big ol' bat ears and he still manages to pretend he doesn't hear me sometimes. :') Teenagers, I swear.
