| Caesar, You're good, I understand. Also, I just learned about the Norns in Norse mythology and showed it to my boyfriend screaming "Look! Look! It's the Fates (Greek) but Norse!" Literally 3 women who weave and control the fates of everyone, but in Norse mythos they're also tending the tree of Yggdrasil and the tree would die without their meticulous care. Is it bad I wish Baba Yaga stole me? I always thought her chicken feet house was cute. The Aztecs probably did, they were really skilled at math and astronomy. Both them and the Mayans have many languages we no longer understand, but they had picture script like most early modern cultures used to like egyptians, chinese, hebrew. ALSO, Yellow Woman! I brought her up and then said nothing. Her name is Kochininako and she is Puebloan, but all her stories are about her cheating on her husband with a handsome spirit man like Buffalo man or the literal sun itself. Either she brings good change because of it, brings back twins to her family, or dies. |

Lol I still bought a Quran from him, but I never went to the mosque like he wanted. He scared me away for sure. Also, that is neat! I love that art literally saved a church. |

| flo, sorry, had to break my response up in two messages LOL right?? the "you can copy my homework but change it a bit" is INSANE in mythology lmfao hell yeah, baba yaga, also told to me as baba roga, whisks away bad kids >:) oh i love hearing about aztecs and mayans, i remember doing a presentation on numerals once and i think it was aztecs who had such interesting concept of them?? with dots and lines, it was so fun to learn it :D i did hear of navajo, but all i knew of them is theyre a native american tribe ^^" |

| flu, yeppp. bad blood is VERY recent, and the lore is HEAVY :') LMAO what?? saying one prayer doesnt make you a part of the religion though?? thats what the FAITH part is for? also fun fact, Islam prohibits depicting Mohammed in paintings, but there is one painting with him in a church around here that saved the church from being burned down when Turks came to conquer these parts :D |

| Ceasar, I gasped out loud reading that. THAT is so recent I'm disturbed. Glad freedom was won in the end, but omg. Also, yeah I don't believe what my family says and I'll take your word for it until I can visit myself :D No, it was much worse. He kept trying to get me to say a prayer and I said it because I thought he was teaching me something cool, but he was like "Now you're a Muslim, welcome!" and I was like "Wait, no, I thought you were teaching me a prayer." FFS. And yes, that's essentially it. They hold the prophet Mohammed in a higher esteem than Jesus, but not really like they dislike Jesus. They love him, too, but think Muhammed is the one to follow because he is the more recent prophet. The Egyptian to Greek to Roman mythology pipeline is so amazing, honestly. I think I don't know much about Slavic mythology besides Baba Yaga. Or at least, I think she's slavic? I will note to learn more later. Pueblo and Navajo are two native nations here in the United States. The Navajo are plains people, and the stereotypical Indian trope is mostly inspired by them and a few other tribes. Pueblo are descendants of Aztecs and Mayans and came to the North because of war conflicts driving them away. They are not nomadic like Navajo, and build pueblos, what they're named after. Basically, three tiered homes where you can only get in by climbing a ladder. |
